Care for your parents in Lagos, led by a nurse.
We started Home Care Nigeria because so many families are trying to look after a parent in Nigeria from thousands of miles away, with nobody they trust on the ground.
Why we started
Ask any Nigerian family abroad what worries them most about a parent at home and the answers are the same. Who is actually with Mummy today? Did she take her medicine? Is the money we send being spent on her care? Will anyone be there at night?
A relative or a house help often does their best, but nobody is trained to notice when something is going wrong, and nobody is accountable when it does. Families end up relying on phone calls and hope. We think they deserve proof.
How we work
Every client has a named registered nurse. The nurse visits first, meets the family, reads the medical notes and writes a care plan, including the safe ranges for blood pressure, sugar and other readings. Trained caregivers then visit daily or live in.
Caregivers check in at the home on our app and record the visit as it happens: what they did, the readings they took, every medicine given or refused, meals, mood and anything that worried them. A reading outside the safe range is flagged to the nurse. The nurse reviews every report, adds a note for the family where it helps, and signs it. The family reads it online, from Lagos or from London, Houston or Toronto.
You can see exactly what a family receives on our sample report, and compare the levels of care on our services pages.
Who leads the agency
Home Care Nigeria was started by a registered nurse, who carries clinical responsibility for the care we give. The agency is nurse-led by design: the person signing your parent's report is a nurse, not a sales manager.
Where we are
We are starting in Lagos, across the Island and the Mainland, including Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki, Ajah, Ikeja, Magodo, Gbagada, Surulere, Yaba, Maryland and nearby areas. Abuja and Port Harcourt have a waiting list. See home care in Lagos for details.
Our registration
Our company registration in Nigeria and our registration with the Lagos State health authorities are in progress. As soon as the numbers are issued they appear in the footer of every page. We will never show a placeholder number.

About us: common questions
Who runs Home Care Nigeria?
The agency was started and is led by a registered nurse, who carries clinical responsibility for the care we give. Every client also has a named registered nurse who supervises their caregivers and signs their reports.
Is Home Care Nigeria registered?
Our company registration and our registration with the Lagos State health authorities are in progress. We show the numbers in the footer of every page as soon as they are issued, and we will not show a placeholder in the meantime.
Where in Lagos do you work?
We cover Lagos Island and the Mainland, including Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki, Ajah, Ikeja, Magodo, Gbagada, Surulere and nearby areas. Abuja and Port Harcourt have a waiting list.
How are your caregivers chosen?
Nobody is placed with a family until their identity document, guarantor, two references, police character certificate and, for nurses, their practising licence have been uploaded and checked. The care platform refuses to assign anyone whose documents are missing or out of date.
How do families abroad know care actually happened?
The caregiver checks in at the home on our app, records the visit as it happens, and a nurse reviews and signs the report. Families read it online from anywhere, along with readings, medicines given and any concerns.
Do you pay or accept fees for referrals?
No. We refer families to clinics and hospitals when that helps the patient, and clinics refer patients to us, but no money changes hands either way.
