How we use your details

Who we are
Home Care Nigeria provides nurse-led home care in Lagos. For this website, we decide how your details are used, which makes us the data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Our company registration is in progress and its number will appear here once issued.

What we collect
When you fill in the assessment request or a waitlist form, we collect what you type:
- your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
- the country you live in
- who the care is for, the area in Lagos, the help they need and how soon
- anything you choose to write in the message box
- how you found us, and the page and advert link you arrived from
Please do not put medical details in the message box. We ask for health information in person, during the assessment, not through this website.
Why we use it
Only to reply to you and arrange a home assessment, or to tell you when we open in your city. We use it because you ticked the box giving us permission. We do not sell your details and we do not use them for unrelated marketing.
Where it is kept
Your details are stored on our database provider's servers in London, United Kingdom, and a backup copy is kept on our own server in Germany. Both are outside Nigeria, and both use encrypted connections. Only our own team can read enquiries.
How long we keep it
If care does not go ahead, we delete your enquiry 12 months after we last spoke to you. Waitlist details are kept until we open in that city, or until you ask us to remove them.
Cookies and visitor statistics
The site works without cookies. If you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Clarity records how the page is used, such as clicks and scrolling. It hides everything typed into our forms. If you choose "Decline", neither tool is loaded. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your details
- stop contacting you, at any time
Email hello@homecarenigeria.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
